Milwaukee Bucks Digital Gameday Guide

The Objective:

Fiserv Forum opened in 2018 as one of the most technologically advanced arenas in the world. Along with this designation came the need to replace our traditional, printed gameday program with something more dynamic.


We also had sponsors with contracted ads in the program throughout the season, so whatever solution we created needed to meet those requirements as well.


The Solution:

I worked with our app partner, Rover, to design and customize an in-app version of our gameday program. It was important to make sure the Digital Gameday Guide was a resource for fans, in addition to something they could use to entertain themselves pre-game.


To do this, we included a map to help fans navigate the arena, a breakdown of upcoming game entertainment, as well as game-specific information like game notes from each team and a featured article about the matchup from NBA.com.


The Guide also created inventory for partners in the form of clickable ads that could be changed to match different campaigns, creating a higher ROI.



The Results:

Over the course of two seasons, we've seen usage of the Digital Gameday Guide steadily increase to around 1,500 unique users per game on average. We've also created different versions of the guide to match our uniforms and theme nights, included sweepstakes and in-game polling and trigger promotions.
